Case #2: Private residence
Intro
Our second case was brought to my attention by a co-worker of mine. His name was Victor, and he had some strange occurrences at his apartment. On more than one occasion, he felt as if his pant leg was tugged while laying in his bed. He also felt something shake him awake. The door to his bedroom would open by its self, and his television would turn on by its self. The plethora of happenings occurring in his apartment made it a must for us to investigate. A few days after setting up the investigation, Victor found out that the last tenant had the ashes of her mother stored in the bedroom closet, so this made things even more interesting. The Investigation
We entered the apartment on October 25, 2008 at around 10:00 pm. We set up our Mini DV in the bedroom. We put an audio recorder as well as the motion detector in the closet. We carried with us one audio recorder, and I held the 8mm camera, recording all of our investigation. We started off with An EVP session. We asked for a spirit to show its self somehow, but received no reply. We took still pictures, with nothing showing up. Then we decided to do some debunking. We started with the door. We found that the door didn't latch unless you pulled very hard. That might explain that away. We then decided to move our investigation to the bedroom after about an hour in the living room. We tried to debunk the television. The television did have a timer, so it was plausible that had something to do with it. We did some EVP work in the bedroom, and I sat in the closet, but we didnt see or hear anything. One of our investigators felt something watching us after taking a crucifix out of the bedroom, but it just might have been psychological.Reviewing The Evidence
After reviewing all evidence, audio and video, we didn't capture anything. Conclusion
We were able to give alternative ways for most of the occurrences that happened to Victor. The door might have been opened by the wind or the suction of closing doors. The television could have been accidentally set on the timer or some other interference may have affected it, seeing as how this apartment complex was in the city. Being shaken awake and being grabbed while asleep or close to asleep could have all been mental. We have decided to classify this case as: Not haunted.Evidence
