Our Methods
Research
There are two ways in which we set up cases. The first is through research. We will try to find specific places that are reported to have activity. We then go about contacting the owners of the property to find out if
they would be interested in an investigation. If they say yes, we go on to the next part of the process. If they say no, we tell them that we understand fully and then we walk away with a business like demeanor.
Contacting Clients
The second way in which we set up cases is by being contacted by those seeking paranormal investigators. We regularly post ads on Craigslist and other ad sites, as well as posting on Facebook, letting people know that we are there to help them if they are in need of an investigation. The people contact us through e-mail or by phone, and then we move on to the next step.
Meeting with Clients
After being in contact with an owner of a location that has claims of activity, we then set up a time to go and meet with these people face to face in a public location, like a cafe', etc, so that everybody knows everybody. We discuss what the activity is and what exactly the people want as far as investigating goes. We then schedule a time to go to the location and have the owner show us where the activity occurs and what exactly happens. We then set up a time to conduct the investigation. At this point, if everything has been going smoothly, they are officially our clients.
Investigation
Set Up
The first thing that we do when arriving at the location is to go over one more time what is occurring at the location, so that our team has a chance to hear firsthand what is going on. We then proceed to set up our equipment, placing DVR cameras and audio devices in the locations that the activity is occurring. During this time, we also take base readings of the average temperatures and E.M.F.(electromagnetic field) levels of each location.
Investigating
After set up, we begin the investigation. In teams of two to three people we go into each specific location. We usually start of by holding an E.V.P.(electronic voice phenomenon) session, asking questions to the entities in the room, and asking for signs of their presence. While this is going on, we record with hand-held cameras, take still photographs, and constantly check for any fluctuations in temperature and E.M.F. levels. Afte about an hour at a location, the team moves on to the next room, and the same process in continued until each location is covered. We then have the next team of two to three people enter the room and follow that same process. Over all, we stay anywhere from 4 to 8 hours in one day at a location, and if necessary, we will conduct the investigation over multiple days, like an entire weekend, etc.
Reviewing Evidence
After all the evidence is collected from the investigation, a moderate sized team of members then reviews all of the evidence, taking painstaking time to fully cover all material gathered during the investigation. This process can take multiple days to finish, since we leave recorders and DVR cameras running the entire time we are there.
Presenting Evidence
After going over all the evidence, we schedule a time with our client to show them the evidence that we find. We will usually show them any activity that we couldn't explain, or evidence that shows an alternative reason why some activity might be occurring. We copy all the data to disc, and give the discs to them so that they can review any parts of the investigation that they want to. We then ask what sort of privacy level they want over their evidence, separated into three tiers: Total privacy, meaning none of the data, names, or locations posted to the website or shared on Facebook or Youtube, Mostly private, meaning that the data can be posted on the website or shared on Facebook or Youtube, but no names or locations will be revealed, and Least private, meaning that data, names, and locations can be posted on the website or shared on Facebook or Youtube.
